Campus Life

The Department of Campus Life (GC 2240) aspires to engage students in the local and global community by providing leadership opportunities through the Student Government Association, Student Programming Council, Graduate Students Association, Homecoming Council, Multi-Faith Council, Sorority & Fraternity Life, Panther Rage, and The Center for Leadership and Services. Opportunities are available at the Biscayne Bay Campus (WUC 141) as well as the Modesto Maidique (previously University Park) campus.

Student Life & Services

Student Life & Services offers more than 30 departments on campus aimed at improving the quality of life for students, including Disability Services, Greek Affairs, Housing & Residential Life, International Student & Scholar Services, Multicultural Programs, Orientation & Commuter Services, Psychological Services, Victim Advocacy Center and the Women’s Center.

Health Services

University Health Services provides professional, accessible and cost-effective primary care services to registered students at FIU. Many services are free such as routine medical exams for illness and injury and family planning consultations; other services are available for a nominal fee. The Wellness Center offers health maintenance programs such as free Yoga classes and Massage Therapy. Classes and workshops focusing on Healthy Lifestyles and Mind/Body Conditioning are offered as well.

International Students

The office of International Student & Scholar Services provides resources and contacts for international students at both the UP campus (GC 355) and the BBC campus (Wolfe University Center 363). Some services include: Immigration Orientation, International Students Club, Financial Aid Resources, and International Honor Society.
